How to use our product
Soon, you will find a video here demonstrating how to use the FLI Vacuum Bleeder. To give you an overview, here are the functions of our product and basic steps when performing a service:
Functions of the Vaccuum Bleeder:
- Setting the system pressure you want to work with, according to service manuals or tuning preferences.
- Drawing fresh damping oil into the Vacuum Bleeder so it runs in a clean cycle.
- Generating a vacuum to purge air from the suspension component and degas the damping oil.
- Filling your suspension component at the correct pressure without wasting a drop of oil.
If you do a rebuild for the first time, we reccomend you to reserve about 2,5h of time. Please note that not all steps outlined in the manual are mandatory. Some specalties are rarely carried out even by service workshops, as they do not result in a noticeable improvement in performance.
Basic Steps of a Service with our Technology:
- Disassemble the damper carefully, clean all parts and replace any worn seals as instructed in your service manual.
- The Vacuum Bleeder comes into play to refill your damper with fresh oil.
- Perform 2-3 purging and filling cycles, by operating the valves: Fill – Relax – Bleed – Relax.
- The process is complete when you no longer hear any gurgling or squishing when compressing the component.
- Finish the service by installing the new seals and applying your preferred lubricants.
Hit up the trails and enjoy your butter smooth ride!
